| Monday, 12 May 2008 Australian David Lutterus shot four rounds in the sixties to finish in a share of third place in the Fort Smith Classic on the secondary Nationwide Tour. Lutterus, runner-up in the last ever Jacobs Creek Classic in his hometown of Adelaide last year, shot rounds of 66-68-68-69 for a nine-under par total of 271, three shots behind American winner Colt Knost (65). It was the best ever finish in a US tournament for the 23-year-old Lutterus, who won his 2008 PGA Tour card in the tour school at the end of last season, but did not make the field for the Players Championship. Long-hitting Sydney rookie Won Joon Lee squandered strong opening rounds of 67-65 to give back eight shots in his last two rounds and finish in a tie for 37th, along with compatriot Scott Gardiner (73). |
