Heavenly Glow to step out at Taree

Dual Group One winner Heavenly Glow will have an exhibition gallop between races at Taree's Cup meeting on Sunday ahead of her spring campaign.

Last week Heavenly Glow was named the champion NSW three-year-old for 2007-08 for her wins in the Arrowfield Stakes and AJC Australian Oaks.

The mare has been back in work at Taree with her part owner and original trainer, Ross Stitt, after spelling on the Gold Coast.

Stitt sent heavenly Glow to Allan Denham at Rosehill when it became obvious she was a class above her country rivals.

Denham will be at Taree to start Swat in the $60,000 Taree Gold Cup (2000m) and will take Heavenly Glow on the float back to Sydney.

Stitt said Heavenly Glow had thrived during her break and since coming back into work.

"Her dapples were starting to come up within a fortnight of coming back into work," Stitt said.

"Her progress has been nothing short of remarkable.

"She is a much stronger, more mature horse now.

"I think Allan is going to be in for a big surprise when he sees her on Sunday."

Heavenly Glow was ridden to her autumn victories by Robert Thompson who recently passed Jack Thompson's Australian riding record of 3,322 winners.
