Curlin heads Arc entries



American champion Curlin is among 148 entries for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in October as is Australian mare Anamato.

Curlin, the world's top-rated racehorse won the Dubai World Cup in March and made a guest appearance at last week's Kentucky Derby.

The David Hayes-trained Anamato won last year's Schweppes Oaks at Morphettville and ran third in the American Oaks at Hollywood Park in July.

She has not raced since November when unplaced over 2000 metres at Flemington.

Last year's Arc runner-up Youmzain also features among entries for the race which will be worth 4 million euros ($A6.54 million) making it the world's richest race on turf.

Three year-olds make up 80 of the entries headlined by 2,000 Guineas winner and runner-up, Henrythenavigator and New Approach.

Aidan O'Brien's Coolmore contingent is 28 while Godolphin trainer Saeed Bin Suroor has 11 nominations.
