| El Segundo tops ratings for Cox Plate Cox Plate winner El Segundo has confirmed his international rating with the same 123 ranking in the ANZ Classifications released. His victory over Wonderful World and subsequent European Group One winner Haradasun in the 2007 Cox Plate earned him the highest rating for an individual performance during the season. Champion three-year-old Weekend Hussler's efforts in two of his six Group One victories, the Newmarket Handicap and George Ryder Stakes, placed him on 122, the highest of his age group. Crowd favourite Apache Cat was the third highest-rated horse on 121, a mark given to his winning performances in Group One sprints the TJ Smith Stakes and the Doomben 10,000. | ![]() |
