MAGIC MILLIONS CATALOGUE NOW ONLINE

The catalogue for Australia's most popular thoroughbred auction - the Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions Yearling Sale - has been finalised and is now online.

Comprising 1327 lots and to be conducted at the Gold Coast from January 7, this year's sale promises to be one of the great thoroughbred events of the world in 2009.

With all of Australia's and many of the world's great sires represented in the catalogue, the 2009 sale is shaping as another "must attend" event for serious thoroughbred participants around the world.

The Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions Yearling Sale has an outstanding history of results on the track, including six of the past nine winners of the Gr1 STC Golden Slipper Stakes - the World's richest two year old race.

Among the yearlings catalogued for the 2009 sale are (at least) half relations to Group One winners including Bel Esprit, Charge Forward, Fashions Afield, Polar Success, Racing to Win, Regal Cheer, Sebring, Sirmione, Spark of Life, Theseo and War Artist.

A number of the finest mares to grace a track are represented with yearlings in the Magic Millions catalogue. Those Group One winners include Arborea, Elevenses, Ellicorsam, Episode, Hula Angel, In Joyment, Kapchat, Larrocha, Merlene, Pharein, Special, Stella Cadente, Sunday Joy, Unearthly, Victory Vein and Zagalia.

The most represented sires in this year's catalogue read like a who's who of the breeding world. Encosta de Lago (39), General Nediym (37), Jet Spur (36), More Than Ready (35), Stratum (33), Commands (31), Fastnet Rock (31), Flying Spur (31), Testa Rossa (31), Show a Heart (30), Hussonet (29), Redoute's Choice (26) and Rock of Gibraltar (26) among them.
